If you are a Certified Anger Solutions Counsellor and you don't have a copy of this book, get it now! Not only does this book provide you with deep insights into the philosophy of the Anger Solutions program, it will help you broaden your skills as a coach or counsellor.

This is also a great self-help book for people who prefer to work through their issues privately than with a counsellor or coach. Choc full of real-life examples, insightful advice, and exercises to work through, this book also comes with a detailed appendix of community resources across Canada as well as the US and other countries.  A definite must-have for every library.

Hope for a Healthy Workplace by Lisa M.S. Barrow, D.M.

An engaging tale of one woman's journey through the toxic workplace. Dr. Barrow tells of how she came to develop the model she calls Philanthropian Leadership in a quest to show employers how to detoxify the workplace. This is a great read for anyone studying leadership theory or for business managers who want to make the paradigm shift from management to leadership.  Written by a fellow Niagaran - who still lives in Port Colborne and rides a purple Harley!

Forgiven and Free by Earl R. Henslin, Psy. D

An outstanding book that will help anyone struggling with issues of guilt, shame and family dysfunction. Whether you believe in Bible stories/history or not, this book is sure to inspire, comfort, and encourage you as you see how historical greats overcame their own family dysfunction to become the people they were truly meant to be. A terrific read - highly recommended.

The Freedom from Depression Workbook by Les Carter, Ph.D. and Frank Minirth, M.D.

This classic, first published in 1995 has immense value - even moreso in today's world where depression is "cool", and Prozac is prescribed like candy.  The workbook outlines a 12-step plan to define and identify depression, understand mental and physical factors of depression, and to develop the keys required to produce lasting change.  A terrific resource for counsellors and coaches who may be working with clients suffering from depression.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, by T. Harv Eker

Why this book? Because everybody has ideas about money - even counsellors, coaches, and private practicioners. If you want to grow your business, sock more money away for your retirement, or just get by comfortably, this book is a great read. Sure, there has been a lot of hype about the Millionaire Mind seminars, and it is true that quite a bit of the book is simply shameless self-promotion for the seminars themselves. However, if you look past the various plugs for the seminars, you will find countless nuggets of truth and wisdom that will help shake your foundational beliefs about money, and develop some tools to handle yours more effectively.
