Pre-requisites for "Anger Solutions Bootcamp" and "Train the Trainer" Programs: 

Must have a minimum 2 year college diploma in social services e.g. (Addictions Counsellor, Educational Resource Special Needs Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Social Services Worker), or a 3 year University degree in Humanities (e.g. Psychology, Sociology), and be currently employed with a social service agency that is running or seeking to implement Anger Managment services into its organization. For the one-day training, counsellors should have a minimum of 1 year experience in faciitating groups.  Counsellors in private practice please contact us. These pre-requisites are non-negotiable.

 

Pre-requisites for attending Continuing Education Tele-seminars:

Must be either a Certified Anger Solutions(TM) Facilitator, or a Certified Trainer, and/or a member of the Canadian Association of Anger Solutions Professionals. There will be no exceptions to these pre-requisites unless outlined in the program outline for the tele-class.


When Registering for a RIBO accredited program:

Please notify BRC at the time of registration that you are participating in the program as a member of RIBO, and that you would like to receive a certificate outlining your continuing education credits. BRC will prepare a certificate on your behalf, and present it to you after you have completed the workshop or seminar.


Procedure for Registering for BRC Events

 

1.      Please complete the downloadable registration form - available for each event on our Announcements page.
2.      Ensure that all your contact information is provided for purposes of follow-up. Indicate your preferred method of payment: Credit Card, Money Order, or Cheque. Fax your registration form to 905-934-1284 or Mail to the address provided. You may also phone in your registration to Tracey at 905-341-3982.
3.      If you are paying by Money Order or Cheque, please forward your registration form WITH payment to the address provided on the form.
4.      Please do not send your registration form by fax if you are paying with a money order or cheque.
5.      When your registration form and payment is received, you will receive confirmation that you are registered for the event, and a receipt will be e-mailed to you for your records.


Guidelines For Internationals Registering for BRC Events: 
If you reside outside of Canada or the Continental United States and would like to attend one of our events, please read the following information very carefully. 
Please follow the procedure as outlined.
1.      Download the registration form provided on the Announcements page.
2.      Ensure that all of your contact information is provided for purposes of follow-up. Indicate your preferred method of payment, either Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover).
3.      Please note that we will not accept personal cheques, or wire transfers from international registrants. Money Orders from a recognized bank, credit union, or Western Union made out to BODA reLEAF consulting in Canadian funds will be accepted. Certified business cheques are also accepted.
4.      Upon receipt of registration information and full payment of registration fees, our office will issue a confirmation that you are registered for the event, along with a receipt for your payment.
5.      We have been notified by Canadian Consular Services that invitation letters do not necesarily carry weight when considering the granting of a Visa for international travel. Therefore, it is BRC's policy that we will not issue letters of invitation to our events as a practice. Should the Canadian Consulate in your country state the need for an invitation letter, we will send the letter directly to the consulate on your behalf. This service may be subject to an additional administration fee.
6.      Thank you for understanding and adhering to this policy.  Should you be denied a travel visa, and are thereby unable to attend the event, you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of $50 CND (with the exception of Train the Trainer - administration fee is $200).  Cancellations and/or no shows are subject to our refund policy below.
 

Refund Policies

 

Half-Day Programs: 

Registrants that are unable to attend a BRC event due to scheduling difficulties or other obligations, and cancel their registration in writing 3 weeks or earlier prior to the date of the event, will receive a full refund less an administration fee of $25 CND. Cancellations within 3 weeks of the event and no-shows to the event are non-refundable. Registrants will receive a credit to attend a future event upon request.


 Full Day Programs:

Registrants that are unable to attend a BRC full day program due to scheduling difficulties or other obligations will receive a full refund less an administration fee of $45 CND, if cancellation is made in writing 3 weeks or earlier prior to the event date. Cancellations within 3 weeks of the event and no-shows to the event are non-refundable. Registratrants will receive a credit to attend a future event upon request.


Train the Trainer:

Cancellations for the Train the Trainer program are subject to a $200 CND cancellation fee. Note that registration must be cancelled in writing a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the event. Late registrations and no-shows are non-refundable. A credit for a future Train the Trainer will be provided if the no-show was due to work or family emergency or travel difficulties.


Tele-seminars:

Registrations for tele-classes are non-refundable, as the programs can be repeated frequently throughout the course of a year.
Should BRC cancel an event due to insufficient registrations, paid registrants will be offered the choice of a refund or a credit towards the next event.  
 

Procedure for Booking Julie Christiansen

Please complete a request for information form on this website. Someone from our office will contact you. Please have the following information ready:

1.      Proposed date or dates that you would like to have Julie speak
2.      Type of audience
3.      Size of audience
4.      Handouts or learning materials desired
5.      Topic that you would like Julie to present on
6.      Format of session: Keynote address, half-day workshop, full-day, multiple days
Any specific issues you would like covered
7.      What you hope the audience will come away with at the end of the event
8.      Your budget for this event (including travel and accommodations)

Upon gathering all relevant information, we will consult with you further, and tentatively book Julie into your dates (if available). We will issue a Speaker Agreement outlining the terms of your request for service, and the terms for payment. Please Note that a 25% deposit is required to secure a booking. Until received, the dates requested will remain open in Julie's calendar and may be booked by another party.

 How Teleseminars Work:
 
Register for a teleseminar or a tele-class just as you would for a live program. Download the registration form, complete and send back to BRC.
 
You will receive a confirmation e-mail with the telephone number to dial, as well as your Bridge number for the conference. 

You will also receive your course materials by e-mail so you can follow along with the instructor during the session. The phones will be un-muted for question and answer periods, where you can interact with the instructor and other participants.
 
AFTER THE CALL:
 
The recording of the teleclass will be available as a free download for participants who paid to attend the class.
 
MP3 files of the call will be available for purchase through the website for those who missed the class due to scheduling conflicts.
